Eddie Valiant is live mashup pop, dance rock built with hip hop ethics. The fluid mix carries a heavy vibe that makes heads and dancefloors knock. The vocals of David Mann, Scotty Del and Max Graves shift in resonant song and rap styles. Beats co-produced by all three musicians, along with drums by Chase Pingree and live MPC and turntablism by DJ Zone set the pace for the journey illustrated by their honest lyrical realism. Their 2010 album leak The Critics In His Head has garnered steady interest and critical acclaim in their home of Portland, Oregon, as well as throughout the Southwest, for lucky heads in attendance on The Chicharones “Swine and Dash” tour. With plans for a full length on Taxidermy Records in late 2011, we are proud to present an EP of choice cuts from the 2010 release.
