IAME, of NW hip hop crew Sandpeople, just hit us off with this new video for “Thy Will” off his upcoming album “Lame”. The track is one of the heavier stories on the album, detailing a young addicts fall to heroin, while IAME reflects on ideas of god, personal choice, and the worldly contradictions that keep people struggling against the odds. IAME (of Sandpeople/Oldominion) will be heading out on the Northwest leg of homies Hives Inquiry Squad and Abadawn’s “No Way Out Tour” this week. Catch them Thursday in Portland, Friday in Bellingham, Saturday in Kingston and Sunday in Seattle. Hives and Aba will continue on tour with dates in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

“Felt So Real” is a fictional story of IAME being drugged by his girl, only to wake up repeatedly unsure if he’s dreamt it or not. It questions the trust put into relationships and the idea that reality might not be as concrete as you think. The soulful production by Smoke M2D6 of Oldominion and featuring the powerful singing voice of Toni Hill. Told in IAME’s illustrated style, the story keeps you guessing at to what is really going on.

“Lame”, is the title track and first single from IAME’s forthcoming Heaven Noise/Taxidermy Records release. The whole album features production by Smoke M2D6 of Oldominion.

Iame, the latest addition to the Taxidermy Roster, and longtime member of Northwest supergroups Oldominion and Sandpeople, has officially begun his Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to support his upcoming release Lame which is coming out this May on Taxidermy and Heaven Noise Records.
